Metropole portrait: Tokyo

It was during the summer break of 2018, when I went to Tokyo for two months. In a city that - on first sight - looks like a "normal" modern metropolis, I was in search for indications of conflicts and social contrasts relevant for the urban future.

In the following article my impressions are sorted into six chapters.

1. Introduction and Infrastructure

2. Cityscape and Residential Area

3. One of 40 million 1/2

4. One of 40 million 2/2

5. Suicide Culture in Japan    (private)

6. Sexuality in Tokyo
