• Tucked between a motorway junction and an aging business district, we stumbled upon a rewilded pear orchard.

The site consisted of a modest administrative office complex with several rooms, alongside two medium-sized production halls measuring 37 x 20 meters and 37 x 37 meters, respectively. Evidence suggests the facility was abandoned in 2007. A quick investigation of scattered documents, archived websites, and local newspaper clippings revealed that we had discovered the remnants of CE INFOSYS GmbH – a once-pioneering cryptography firm known for developing cutting-edge IT security solutions for both software and hardware. Business registry records confirmed that the company filed for insolvency the same year it was abandoned. The founder and sole liable CEO, Mr. Georg Krause, reportedly evaded both creditors and law enforcement. His facebook profile indicated that he relocated to Singapore, where he seems to continue working in the field of cryptographic security to this day.
