NYC in Spring

What should you expect from the city every artist wants to be part of?

The friend's apartment we were looking for was somewhere in Brooklyn—where exactly, we didn’t know. Hearing the familiar name in the train announcement, we assumed it wouldn’t be too far. In a bar we stopped by, we found out about the taste of an Americano and that we were not even close to the apartment.

For me, as a photographer and skyscraper enthusiast, this place offered more than any other city. Beyond exploring the rooftops of the stone-and-steel manifestation of the American Dream, we met raccoons in the trash bins of Brooklyn, stoned chess players in the Bronx, streets alive with music and dancing in Harlem, and a million fat rats in Manhattan.
