NYC in Spring

What should you expect from the city every artist wants to be part of?

The friend's apartment we were looking for was somewhere in Brooklyn – where exactly, we didn’t know. Hearing the familiar name in the train announcement, we assumed it wouldn’t be too far. In a bar we stopped by, we found out about the taste of an Americano and that we were not even close to the apartment.

For me, as a photographer and skyscraper enthusiast, this place offered more than any other city. Beyond exploring the rooftops of the stone-and-steel manifestation of the American Dream, we met raccoons in the trash bins of Brooklyn, stoned chess players in the Bronx, streets alive with music and dancing in Harlem, and a million fat rats in Manhattan.
